| Low paid employee's federation holds rally | | 'May Day' martyrs remembered | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 28: To remember the 'May day' martyrs and introduction festival of working classes a massive rally was taken out of the J& K low paid employees federation here today. The rally passed through various bazaars of the city and this low paid federation leaders addressed the workers. Abdul Mahid Khan in his address, paid glowing tributes to the Martyres, flayed anti people and anti working class policies by exploiting ruling classes which are instrumental in unprecedented hike in prices of all essential goods of daily consumption and laid stress upon the government for expeditious payment of 6th pay commission arrears, D.A. installment arrears, release of 8% D.A installment form January 2010, revision of minimum daily wage to Rs. 150/- raising retirement age to 60 years, enhancement of Medical allowance to Rs. 1000/- reimbursement of Medicare expenses by the government, restoration of commuted pension after 12 years instead of 15 years, counting of 100% instead of 50 % daily wage service for pension purpose. The federation Chief also threatened to intensify struggle in case the government failed to meet genuine needs and aspirations of employees and pensioners etc soon.
