| CM launches HED website | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 29: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today launched the website of Higher Education Department (HED) here. All the cabinet Ministers were present on the occasion.
The website www.jkhighereducation.in will provide detail profile of the vision, mission, functioning, academic and development status of Higher Education Department with special reference to the universities and colleges. The information about literacy profile, development profile, enrolment ratio, national and state indicators will also be available on the website. It will also have information and linkage to the respective websites of universities and colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Director Colleges, Dr. Sham Lal Gupta said on the occasion that the website of Higher Education will have 16 links to all important institutions of concern to the Higher Education besides 10 links to top ranking universities of the world and higher education institutions. It will also have 10 links to top ranking Indian universities and higher education institutions.
Dr. Gupta said that notifications regarding subordinate service, recruitment rules 2009, College Service Recruitment Rules 2009, College development (Pool) Fund Rules 1999, Calendar for winter-summer vacation for Government colleges, guidelines etc. will be also available on the website besides other relevant information.
