| Mob attacks DC's car in Baramullah | | | JAMMU: Panic today gripped Baramulla town of North Kashmir when cops escorting deputy commissioner Bashir Ahmad Bhat fired few rounds in the air to disperse the unruly youth who stoned his official vehicle. Police sources said the incident took place around 4.30 pm at Cement bridge in Baramullah while Bhat was returning to his office after conducting a survey of certain land in the town. However, his vehicle was damaged in the stone-pelting by the youth, who soon fled the scene. Normal activities remained briefly suspended following the incident, the sources added. The incident came a day after the Baramulla Police organised a 'police-public' meet to win people's confidence.
