| 6 chargesheeted in graft case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 30: Six persons, including four government officials, were Thursday chargesheeted by the state vigilance organisation (SVO) in alleged graft cases. The chargesheets were filed in the court of special judge anti-corruption in Srinagar against three suspended clerks, a village-level worker (VLW) and two private persons who allegedly helped one of the accused government employees to conceal his "ill-gotten" property, SVO sources said. A case was registered in 2007 against assistant accounts officer, finance department, Mohammad Shaban after getting information that he had acquired wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income by allegedly indulging in corrupt and illegal practices during his posting in roads and building department in Anantnag district, the sources added. Sources said during investigation, the allegations were established and assets worth Rs 34.06 lakh were unearthed.
