| Woman among 3 bootleggers held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 30: Three bootleggers, including a woman, were today apprehended by the excise department sleuths from three Bhaderwah villages. Official sources said excise department teams carried out raids on Dalayian, Thuba and Chinta villages of Bhaderwah and held three persons after they were found in possession of illicit liquor. The accused were identified as Maliki Ram of Dalayian, Rekha Devi of Thuba and Prem Raj of Chinta. While three bottles each of illicit liquor were recovered from Maliki and Rekha, Prem was found in possession of five bottles, the sources added. Sources said 75 kg lahan was also destroyed on the spot. Cases under section 48 of the Excise Act were registered against the accused. Raids were conducted by Javed Iqbal, Inspector sub-excise range, Doda, along with excise staff under the supervision of ETO Naeem Ur Reham Mugal.
