| Dy CM chairs 70th JDA Board of Directors meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 30: To review the functioning of JDA, the 70th meeting of Board of Directors of JDA was held here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand who is the chairman of the Board of Directors. The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Aslam Wani was also present in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting to streamline the record of JDA and get it computerised. The Board also took a decision to rationalize the rates of land/plots in various colonies of JDA and the Deputy Chief Minister directed the Vice Chairman, JDA to prevent the encroac-hments and unauthorised occupants of land. The release of 6th Pay Commission was also approved in favour of JDA employees by the Board. It was also decided that land assets of JDA shall be measured through Electr-onic Total Stations (ETS) with the help of Revenue and JDA officials and also through outsourcing. The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the performance of legal section and directed Vice Chairman JDA to vigorously pursue all Court cases pertaining to various wings. Tara Chand also directed the Vice Chairman to improve the file work of JDA and stressed the need for strict adherence to the Master Plan provisions. The Deputy Chief Minister stressed for improving the functioning of the JDA. The Board of Directors meeting was attended by Commissioner/Secretary, Planning, B. B. Vyas, Commissioner/Secretary, Finance, Sudhanshu Pandey, Commissioner/Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Suresh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner, JMC, Muba-rak Singh, Vice Chairman, JDA, Gulzar Ahmed Qureshi, Chief Town Planner, Jammu and other officers of Housing and Urban Development.
