Jammu, Apr 30: Amid to identify and appraise problems being faced by political workers at Mohalla, Ward and Constituency level, in a land mark decision, National Conference Women Wing Provincial President Vijay Laximi Dutta framed three working committees for Jammu East, West and Cantonment area.
Addressing members of all three committees in a joint meeting organized here, Dutta insisted upon the members to reach out people especially to women folk at their door steps and educate them about political and over all women empowerment programmes. "There is a phobia that women should not join politics but even Parliament has induced reservation of 33% to empower women" said Dutta and added that main objective of constituting these committees is aware women folk in this regard.
Dutta informed that 31 members of three committees will monitor day to day problems being faced by workers and common people. After identifying the problems would be discussed with concerned authorities to get addressed in the large interest of common masses. Dutta said that any women irrespective of caste, colour and creed can join party to work as member to strengthen party and hands of Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of State. Members nominated for East Constituency Working Committee inclu-des Saroj Gupta, Harmeet Kour, Paramdeep Ko ur, Manveer Kour, Veena Oberai, Urmila Luthra, Vidya Charak, Roma Kuma-ri, Rashida and Shamshada, for West Constituency Vijaya Gupta, Satya Jamwal, Uma Jamwal, Asha Omi, Shashi Pandita, Zulekha, Raksha, Mamta, Kamlesh, Veena and Shamma similarly cantonment Committee includes Pami, Harrinder Kour, Karuna, Shipra, Stwant Kour, Reeta Gupta, Rekhan Manhas, Darshana, Mukta, Harpreet Kour and others.
