| BJP demands stern action against SP activists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 30: Bhara-tiya Janata Party (BJP) has charged the activists of the Samajwadi Party of trying to "communalize" the situation by indulging in "insinuations and vulgar" language against religious faiths of a particular community. Condemning the yesterday's incident of Seri Bazaar in Bhaderwah town, Daya Krishan Kotwal, BJP former state President and ex-MLC alleged that it appeared to be a deliberate attempt to pollute the atmosphere and generate "communal" tensions so as to gain some foot hold in some other sections of the people. "They had been changing their colours now and then and for them to indulge in changing the parties has come to be a phenomenon," he charged. Kotwal said that anyone who hurts the religious sentiments of a particular community and disturb the communal harmony should not be spared and put behind the bars, irrespective of his status. "Moreover, anyone who uses the public place to target a particular community should be banned to address any public rally anywhere in the state," the leader demanded. The BJP leader also criticised the role of a PSO of the Samajwadi Party President, who opened fire, which created panic and resentment among the masses during the public rally. He said this PSO should be immediately arrested and case be registered against him. He appealed the people in general, especially the party activists, to remain calm and expose such elements in a peaceful manner.
