| RS. 9 cr new regional wss Aishmuqam in the offing | | Dilawar inspects site for aerial ropeway Aishmuqam | | Srinagar, October 15 – A prestigious Rs. 3 crore aerial ropeway project (cable car) is being laid at holy shrine of Aishmuqam in Anantnag district to give boost to the pilgrim tourism in the area. The survey for the proposed ropeway has already been completed by the Rites, a premier consultancy of the country and the tenders for the execution of the work are accepted to be floated with in a month. This was revealed during inspection of the proposed site near the Holy Shrine of Sofi-Saint, Hazarat Zain-ud-Din Wali (RA) at Aishmuqam by the Minister for tourism Mr. Dilawar yesterday. Responding to the pressing demand of the people, the Minister ordered for taking up of the new regional Water Supply Scheme Aishmuqam to provide potable drinking water to the local populace and the ever increasing pilgrims and devotes to the holy shrine. The proposed Water Supply Scheme has been formulated at an estimated cost of Rs. 9 crore and it targeted to benefit about 47000 souls residing in and around the Aishmuqam. The Minister also ordered for necessary improvement in the drainage system there. The Minister also inspected the proposed site for new general bus stand at Aishmuqam which is being constructed over an area of 17 kanals. He ordered immediate execution of the project.
