| SIM Card Scam, dealer's bail rejected | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 1: Forest Magistrate Yahaya Firdous dismissed bail application of Anil Kumar of Gangyal against whom a case u/s 420/467/468/471 RPC was registered. In bail application it was submitted that applicant has been falsely implicated in the said FIR as applicant has a franchisee of Aircel and Vodafone communication but without any reason the accused has been implicated in the said FIR. On the other hand Prosecuting Officer Kuldeep Bhat appearing for the state submitted that accused under the pretext of franchisee has indulged into illegal practice and the accused issuing many Sim Cards in the name of one subscriber, he further submitted that such practice of the accused is not only illegal but threat to the security of nation because the Sim Cards are being used frequently by the antinational elements. Forest Magistrate Yahaya Firdous after hearing both the sides got through CD File reveals that investigation is still under way and it is alleged that accused used to prepare fraud documents by scanning the forms of the subscriber. Since the investigation is underway, Court find strength in the arguments of Prosecuting Officer Kuldeep Bhat that the Sim Cards are being used by antinational elements day in and day out and court feels that until and unless such activities are not unearthed it would not be safe to consider the bail application and dismissed it. ----JNF
