| Chib assures due recognition to social, culture talent | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 1: Maintaining that our state being the most multi-ethnic and multi-lingual where all sections and languages are provided adequate opportunities for growth and development, the Minister for Medical and Technical Education, R. S. Chib assured to give due recognition to the hidden talent and make efforts to bring the literary, social and cultural personalities in limelight. The Minister was addressing a felicitation function organized to recognize the outstanding services rendered by Shri Ram Sudhir, a literary personality and social activist. Anjuman Traqqi-e-Urdu Hind and Nami Dogri Sanstha-the Art Foundation organized the function to confer 'Sanstha Samman-2010' upon Shri R Sudhir, a renowned social, literary and cultural figure of Jammu. Emphasizing on the need to preserve our cultural heritage and seek guidance in this regard from the personalities who have contributed a lot for the promotion of social and cultural activities, Chib asserted that cultural values not only form the founding principles of one's life but also deeply influence lifestyle and thus impact social life. He said Sudhir quietly worked for the progress of social, literary and cultural activities in Jammu. He apprised about his association with Sudhir and how he worked with zeal and dedication all these years without demanding any reward and recognition. He advised the budding talent to seek their guidance and carve their lives with a pledge to contribute something towards the society. On the occasion, Chib asked the literary and social figures of the society to hunt for such personalities and promised to accord due recognition to their talent and contributions. Chairman, Kashmir Times Group of Publications, Ved Bhasin, S.S Anand Lehar, Prithpal Singh Betab, President Nami Dogri Sanstha, Harish Kaila also spoke on varied aspects of Sudhir and his visionary approach towards promotion of culture. They termed him a versatile personality who worked quietly for progress and development of Jammu.
