| YHLS organizes programme on 'Nari Virmarsh' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 2: A programme on 'Nari Virmarsh' was organized by Yuva Hindi Lehkhak Sang (YHLS) here today. On the occasion two research papers written by Kusumlata and Manpreet Kour were read out by Laxmi and Ruchika on spot. Earlier, Ashok gave account of account of start of feminism in west and discussed two important books 'The Second Sex' of Simon-de-Beauvoir and 'A Room of One's Own' of Virginia wolf , while Kusum Lata maintained that novelist Maitrai Puspa had refuted such customs of Indian society that create obstacles in the way of development of females. She portrayed such female characters that could not be restrained by dominant males. Manpreet Kour in her research work established that illiteracy and economically dependence on male are two basic causes due to which females remain in bad conditions and face exploitation. Dr. Om Parkash Divedi spoke on Indian situation in which Nari Vimarsh sprouted. In this context he quoted Mahadevi Verma, Subhdhra Kumari Chouhan, Meera etc. Neeru Sharma who presided over the programme said a female experience can only be judged better by female herself, small incidents could lead her towards big creation. Amita Mehta secretary of the Sangh compared the programme while Kapil Anirudh presented the vote of thanks.
