| Slathia convenes public meeting | | |

JAMMU, May 2: Asking the people to equally participate in development works and supervise them so as to ensure transparency, Minister for Industries and Commerce S. S. Slathia emphasized on regular monitoring of the under execution works both by the concerned officers and inhabitants . Addressing at a public gathering at village Badi Khad, Block Purmandal of Vijaypur Constituency here today, the Minister said that coalition regime is committed to provide basic infrastructural facilities to the people at their doorsteps. He also assured that 10,000 pine trees to be planted in the area during the year 2010-11. The black-topping of the roads shall also be taken up and completed soon, he added. On the occasion, Slathia announced one tubewell of 950 feet-deep to overcome water shortage in the area. He asked people to use water judiciously and preserve the water bodies existing in their respective areas.
