| Several join PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 2: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received a shot in its arm when large number of people joined the party at an impressive function held at PDP office here today. The prominent persons who joined the party today included Ashwani Kohli, Deepak Sharma, Mohd Sadiq and Ram Kumar along with a large number of their supporters. On this occasion, senior PDP leader and Vice President Tarlok Singh Bajwa welcomed them into the party fold and stressed upon the new entrants to work unitedly to strengthen the party at the grass root level. He said that the PDP will give due respect to one and all and the problems of the youth will be given priority. Party Spokesperson, A K Sawhney, while welcoming the new entrants into the PDP family, exhorted upon them to work for a peaceful and happy state of J&K. He took a dig at the Omar Abdullah led government and said that it has turned out to be a failure on all the fronts. Addressing the gathering senior leader and Ex MLC Ved Mahajan, said that it is expected that in coming days the PDP movement will grow further as the people have understood that the PDP is the only viable alternate in the state which can provide peace and dignity to the people. Hussain Ali Wafa, Secretary PDP, S K Raina , Vinder Singh Sonu, Parvesh Bali, Balbir Singh also spoke on the occasion. Ashwani Kohli was appointed Youth PDP Ward President of Ward Number 23 by District President Youth Jammu Virenderjeet Singh Sonu and Parvesh Bali. Others present were Harmet Singh, Sohit Sharma, Jasvir Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Romil Jaggi and Dimple Kumar.
