| Labana Mahasabha demands representation in state legislature | | |

Jammu, May 2: Labana Maha Sabha discussed various important issues of the community pending since long in a meeting chaired by Prof. Sukhdev Singh.
Members in the meeting expressed concern over the long pending demands of the community for representation of OBC and Labana community in the state assembly and in legislative council. Members also urged upon the government that OBC people should get proper benefit of sponsored schemes and concessions made available with the advisory board, and also member of the community be appointed in the administrative staff of the board. Earlier member of the community welcomed the vice-chairman, J&K and other backward castes Kuldeep Verma. Prominent members also spoke on the occasion included Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Santokh Singh, Master Puran Singh, S. Bahadur Singh, S. Karnail Singh, S. Mohinder Singh, thanked the community members and Kuldeep Verma, while Surat Singh Toofani, President Youth Wing, performed as state secretary.
