| Charak inspects old city ongoing dev works | | | Jammu, October 15 - In connection with city beautification drive, Minister for R&B Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak today conducted an extensive tour of city of temples and inspected various bazaars and localities. During his visit the people of the city put-forth their genuine problems confronting them which include streamlining the demarcation and construction of foot-paths along the roads. He assured them these would be look into and assured them the construction/maintenance work of footpaths will be started soon for the benefit of general masses. The Minister inaugurated the work of black topping of double lane Bahu Fort road from Second Tawi Bridge to Bye Pass via Bahu Fort. The black topping work would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 49 lakh. He impressed upon the accompanying engineers to complete the ongoing work within stipulated time frame for the benefit of pilgrims. He asked them to put sign boards with usual signals/slogans, proper central lining for the benefit of pilgrims who come from outside the state.
