| Jeffery Archer's Jamwal may amuse Jammuites | | |

NEW DELHI, May 2: Famed British writer Jeffery Archer's new book -- And thereby hangs a tale - may well turn out to be of some interest to Jammuites. This is mainly because one of the main characters in this collection of Archer's short stories is Jamwal, a familiar surname in Jammu region.
In the story love strikes Jamwal on a crowded road intersection in Delhi when his glance falls on Nisha before traffic light turns green. Such is the plot of the story that Macmillan, who are Archer's publishers, say that the readers are going to be spellbound by the master story teller's art of narration.
And so the book is being launched first in Mumbai on Tuesday - May 4 - where Archer is going to be present ahead of its world edition launch. He has reportedly already arrived in Mumbai for the launch of the book.
Other details of the story are being kept under wraps until Tuesday for reasons of sale and to hold the surprise before it is out in book stores. Jeffery's story on India and its launch in Mumbai before any other city signifies among other things the growing English readership in India. This is going to be seventh collection of short stories though he is more famous for his novels ever since his first book Not a penny less nor a penny more was first published in London.
