| Children's theatre festival conclude | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 3: On the concluding day of ongoing children theatre festival held at Abhinav theatre, Samooh theatre staged four children play. Principal Army school, Domana, Renu Gupta who was the chief guest appreciate the working of Samooh theatre in organizing workshop at Army school and added that such type of workshops are not only provide entertainment to the children but also develop the personality of the children.
The plays staged were 'Kaun Barha Kaun Chotta', Dukh Ka Adikar, Basundra, and 'Toba Tek Singh. The children who played role in these plays were highly appreciated by the audience present on the occasion. Lucky Gupta was the director of the plays, while Happy Gupta, Geeta Gupta, Gurdeep Kour and Jag-Bushan Sharma supervise the workshop.
While welcoming the guest Dr. Sudhir Mahajan gave details of activities being under taken by the group.
He said the aims and objectives of the workshops is not to make the children great actor/actress but to sensitize them about their surroundings and to inculcate values and imparted basics skill of the performing arts i.e. music, dance, drama, painting etc. so that the children may become responsible citizen and moreover these type of activities reduce the stress of children and enhance the power of innovation, creativity and imagination.
