Jammu, May 3: The investiture Ceremony of the students council of Alexander memorial school, was held in the school auditorium here today. Senior vice president, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides Roma Wani was the chief guest. State commissioner J&K State Bharat Scouts Guides, I.D Soni, Rev. Sohan Lal, Presbyter-in-charge, St. Paul's Church, Jammu and several members of the management committee were among the distinguished guests. The principal, Esther William welcomed the guests. The members of the students' council comprising the head girl, Navneet Kaur and head boy master Sahil Gupta, house captains, Akash Kharoo, Edna, Kalyan, Zain-ul-Abdin, Priyanka, Gourav, Priya Kalpushu, Samuel Mathew, Iqra Javed and vice captains, prefects, helpers and class monitors etc. were selected. The head boy and the head girls and other members of the students council took the oath of loyalty and dedicated service which was followed short speeches by them. The chief guest Wani in her address appreciated the whole programme and impressed upon the council members to develop a strong sense of self discipline, teamwork, leadership and followership, healthy competition and cooperation, service and sacrifice.
