| JKP wins Ishmeet memorial football trophy | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 3: Jammu and Kashmir Police lifted the 2nd Ishmeet Memorial football trophy beating MBS College 3-0 in the final played at Boys High School, Simbal Camp, here.
Manmohan Singh was star striker from Police who scored two goals while Ajay Kumar added one to make it a big win.
The winners were given away a cash prize of Rs 5100 while runners-up received Rs 2500 from chief guest, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, Arvinder Singh Micky. Prof Gharau Ram Bhagat, MLA R S Pura, was guest of honour in the final and prize distribution function.
In their address, the special guests encouraged the organizers for providing the young boys a platform to excel that too in the memory of Star Voice of India, Ishmeet Singh.
Young footballer, Aman Singh was declared most young talented player of the tournament, which was organised under the banner of United Sikh Council under the aegis of J&K Football Association. The two-member team which managed the event included G S Michael and Ajmeet Singh.
