| Laxmi lays foundation stone of Gurdwara | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 3: Tan Tan Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed, Gurdwara Singh Sabha is coming up at Khour-Jourian RS Pura. Estimated cost @ Rs 1.5 Cr upon 4 kanals of land will be ready expectedly in three years. This Gurdwara will be bigger than one already existing.
Provincial president National Conference Vijay Laxmi Dutta laid foundation stone of Gurdwara Sahib in presence of President Gurdwara Prabandhak committee, Nirmal Singh. On the occasion Laxmi urged upon the gathering to stand united to fight social evils prevailing in society. She said that women empowerment is mandatory for any healthy community and country.
More than one thousand women participated and pledged to join NC. Laxmi assured women folk present on the occasion that all their issues would be taken up with concerned authorities for early addressing. She said women of rural area are neglected lot and possess potential but due to limited exposure are lacking behind. She advised women of the area to remain in touch so that problems being faced by them get eradicated; beside benefit of state and central launched scheme may get extend to them for their betterment.
President, Nirmal Singh thanked gathering and community lunch was served to all disciples.
