| Bid to loot SBI ATM at Vijaypur | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU: An attempt was last night made by some unidentified persons to loot the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) of the State Bank of India at Vijaypur, about 30 km from here on the Jammu-Pathankote national highway.
Police said some unidentified persons last night tried to loot the ATM by breaking it glass window, but could not succeed. After some locals noticed that the ATM was broken, they informed police.
Police said they were enquiring into the matter and hoped that the culprits would be held soon. Quoting a senior SBI official, police said the ATM did not have any cash in it as the money was taken out after it had developed some technical problem few days back.
