| Pahari cultural and welfare forum hails decisions of: CM Azad | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER POONCH | JULY 24 All Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum organized meeting at Dak Bunglow Surankote which was presided over by Shabir Husssain Shah Tehsil President of the Forum for Surankote and was attended by the representatives of the Forum from Rajouri Darhal Thana Mandi, Mendhar, Haveli and Mandi etc. The participants of the meeting hailed the decision taken by the Ghulam Nabi Azad like construction of hostel for girls, scholarship for Pahari Students, grants for the infrastructural improvement in already constructed hostels and above all the commitment made for scheduling of Pahari peoples. The speaker also lauded the genuine and sincere efforts made by Ghulam Nabi Azad in ameliorating the disadvantaged Pahari section of the state. The speakers in union viewed to extend full support and cooperation to the present government in its endeavor to restore peace and activate the developmental process. The speakers in the meeting also expressed thanks to Mehbooba Mufti President PDP for taking up various issues of Pahari people with the union Ministers. Regarding the sub-committee framed to review SRO 294 the participants of the meeting demanded that some retired judge of the high Court be appointed as head of the committee and some legal expert be made its members. The participants expressed full faith in the Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum and assured full backing to the organization to continue the struggle till the final goal is achieved. Prominent among those who addressed the meetings were Mohd. Azam Sagar, Taj Hussain Shah, K.K Kapoor, Barkat Singh Azad, Mohd Zaman Advocate, S. Kamljeet Singh, Mughal Hussain. Ghulam Abbas, Mohd. Sharief Khan, Mohd, Rashid Khan, Gafoor Dar, Shabaz Khan, Aslam Miraza, Vijay Puri, S, Amar Singh Josh, Basant Ram, Azam Fani, Maroof Manhas, Subash Sharma, Aziz Bhat and Tariq Manhas Secretary of the meeting was Tariq Manhas and the programme is organized by Kamaljeet Singh District President of the Forum.
