| 15 kg RDX, grenades recovered from Ramgarh | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 4: 15 kilograms of the deadly-RDX and a large quantity of highly-explosive grenades and other items, besides eatables, were today recovered from Ballar close to the International Border (IB) in Ramgarh sub-sector near here today. On April 30 last, a large group of Pak-based militants had made an infiltration bid from Ballar. The intruders had, however, fled back to Pakistan unhurt after a BSF patrol had challenged them. The recovery was made four days after this failed infiltration bid. It was believed that the items had been left behind by the same group of intruders while exfiltrating. A BSF spokesman said troops of 59 Bn of BSF came across a bag, which was lying in the bushes, at about 9 am. The bag contained 15 kg RDX, one 5 kg pressure cooker IED, one IED in oil tin (15 Kg), one Kenwood set with antenna, one transmitter, two 9 volt batteries, 80 mt flexible wire, two water bottle of 3 lt each, one binocular, 11 electronic detonators, 13 UBGL grenades, five AGL grenades, two UBGL grenade with plastic coverings, eight Chinese handgrenades, two haversacks, one digging tool and a large quantity of Pakistan-made eatables. A tight vigil was being maintained in the area, the spokesman added.
