JAMMU, May 4: A threadbare discussion were held in the premises of Institute of Engineer, Gandhinagar, Jammu on upgradation of Jammu Airport under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal. Land acquisition cases pertaining to widening of Satwari Airport road were also discussed in the meeting. It was decided that the works on the road widening project from Satwari to Airport shall start within 6 months and the issues impeding the progress of the ambitious project will be sorted out.
The Divisional Commissioner exhorted upon the revenue authorities to speed up the disposal of land acquisition cases falling under the proposed project. Among others Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, M K Dwivedi, Director Airport, M Suresh, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Mubarak Singh.
