| JKNPP demands fire station | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, May 4: Kishtwar district unit of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party has demanded permanent fire brigade station at Gulabgarh. The demand was made by district President Anil Parihar after making an extensive tour of the Gulbgarh along with Tehsil president Somi Raj Budhist. Parihar said that fire which broke out in the area has resulted in loss of property worth lakhs of rupees. He demanded immediate compensation of two lakhs for the fire victims whose shops have been totally gutted in a devastating fire that broke out in the main market of Gulab Garh in Padder area, about 60 kilometers from Kishtwar on Sunday night. Parihar also demanded fire station in area so that if in future any untoward incident of similar nature will happen, it could be prevented and controlled. He also alleged that due to absence of Fire station in entire 60 kilometre stretch from Kishtwar to Gulbgarh people and property always remained at risk. He expressed deep concern that after 60 years of independence majority of areas of tehsil Gulbgarh are without power and other basic facilities which expose the tall claims of government in the area.
