| Kashmiris are insecure outside the state: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 5: PDP today expressed serious concern over continuous harassment of Kashmiri people in different parts of the country and urged upon the government of India to address this grave human issue before its volcanic eruption. While addressing the central executive of PDP Youth Wing here at Srinagar, its President, Bashir Assad said that the growing sense of siege and unrest of Kashmiri youth could give an ugly turn to the already deteriorated atmosphere in the state and could blow out of proportions which would be difficult to tackle. Assad said that hundreds of innocent Kashimiri youth were being implicated under concocted tails of police and security agencies, then booked under unlawful laws like PSA and sent to various jails out side the state. This phenomenal fashion of security agencies, Bashir Assad said has very drastic insinuation on the ground situation leading to complete alienation of Kashmiri people. Lambasting the Omar Abdullah led coalition government, Bashir Assad said that the efforts put forth by PDP led coalition government to build peace in the state have been abandoned by the present dispensation and the growing incidents of human rights violations has vitiated the atmosphere. On one side our educated youth are being harassed outside the state on one pretext or the other and on the other hand they are being humiliated in their own homeland due to insensitivities of Omar Abdullah regime. PDP leader said that the youth wing of party will launch a campaign for release of all innocent people languishing in jails and also against the harassment of Kashmiri students and businessmen outside the state.
