KATHUA, May 6: To celebrate its annual day, Kathua Kabaddi Association today organized exhibition matches at Government Degree College Kathua.
In these matches, Jarai and Shankar Timber teams won their respective matches. In the first match, Jarai team defeated Lacchipur while Shanker Timber trounced Kathua XI. On the occasion, prominent businessman, Suraj Mehta was chief guest while Hajji Mohammad Alam was guest of honour.
The Association also honoured 12 kabaddi players who have represented district Kathua at the national and international level. These players were Mohd Yakoob, Noor Mahi, Lal Hussain, Farman Ali, Dheeraj Singh, Mohd. Farooq, Chanveer Singh, Anil Kumar, Gulam Mustafa, Ramesh Singh, Mohd Yakoob and Murad Ali. Kabaddi coach, Yougraj Sharma was also felicitated.
