| Forestfire Control rooms setup in Ramnagar | | |

Udhampur, May 6: To control the fire incidents in Forest, Divisional Forest Officer, Ramnagar M.M Gupta convened a meeting of Officers of the department here today. All the Range Officers and foresters were present in the meeting.
Gupta said that fire incidents in the forest causes great loss to biodiversity of the area. He further decided in the meeting that five control rooms have been established for controlling the fire incidents in the forests of Ramnagar division. The control rooms including Chowki, Basantgarh South Range Ramnagar Group-I, South Range Dhanda Pani Group-II, South Range Ramnager Group-III shall function round the clock right from today. He asked the incharge of control room to connect with the concerned Namberdars and chowkidars to seek their help in controlling the fire and shall specifically report to the Range Officer. |
