| Vijay Club enters 2nd Chhatra Shaheed Memorial football final | | | Early Times Reporter

Vijay Club sealed a convincing win over NGR Club with a 3-1 margin in the ongoing 2nd Chhatra Shaheed Memorial Football tournament being played at GGM Science College here today. Gorav Bhatti drawn the first blood by scoring the first goal in the 20th minute. NGR was bit unlucky as they really missed some possible chances. At half time, Vijay Club was leading by 1-0. Finally, NGR managed to score the equalizer through Karan Abrol in the 59th minute who penetrated the strong Vijay Club defence. Vijay Club never really allowed NGR to exert pressure on them as they responded well to score two more goals to cement their berth in the final. Sonu Kumar scored second goal in the 60th minute while the third and final goal was scored by Raman Kumar in the 90th minute. Three yellow and one yellow cared were the another highlight of the match. Rakesh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, and Roneep Yalop of Vijay Club received yellow cards in 23rd, 35th and 53rd minutes respectively. Roneep Yallop was unlucky as he was shown Red card in the 73rd minute which means he will not been able to play in the final. Karan Abrol of NGR Club also received yellow card in the 27th minute. The officials in the match were Ketan Kumar, Ricky, Moonmadan and Chaman Lal. Man Mohan Choudhary was the the chief guest in today’s semifinal match. Balbir Kumar Corporator Krishna Nagar was also present on the occasion. The final between Young Star vs Vijay Club will be played on October 18 at the same venue.
