SSP Organizes Police-Public meet at Atholi

DODA OCT-15- SSP Doda Manohar Singh today held a Police-public meet at Atholi Gulabgarh, which was attended by nearly 200 prominent citizens drawn from different walks of life from Atholi and its adjoining villagers.
The SSP urged the people to be vigilant against the nefarious designs of the anti-national elements and help Police in combating terrorism and normal crime. He asked the student community to remain on fore front to fight against the social evils.
Manohar Singh sought people’s cooperation in providing information to Police regarding movements of anti –national elements for which they would be suitably rewarded and the name of the informer would be kept secret.
Referring to the demands put up by the people present at the meet, the SSP assured that these would be taken up with the concerned agencies for early redressal On the demand of the students of Higher Secondary School Atholi, the SSP said that they would be sent to Bharat Darshan next month by the Police Department and would be taken to Police station to acquaint them with the working of Police.
Expressing satisfaction over the functioning of Police particularly the establishment of pickets in Paddar Atholi area, the people demanded that a police post be also set up at Sansari Nallah located at the HP border. They also demanded launching of a special recruitment driver in Atholi Paddar area for the youth of the area..
The people at the meeting also voiced the demand for immediate construction of Kundal Bridge on Kishtwar-Atholi road, posting of requisite staff in Agriculture department besides lecturers in Mathematics, Political Science, Chemistry and Physics subjects to HSS Atholi and a Physical Education Teacher.
