| Condition of schools pathetic | | | Early Times Report Kathua, May 7: Senior people urged upon present coalition government to make focus towards development of infrastructure of government schools in general in entire state and particularly in Kathua. Social worker and senior Congress leader Manohar Singh and District President Karanti Dal Advocate Sushil Gupta expressed concern after witnessing worst condition of Govt Middle School (Boys) Kathua which is situated in heart of city. They said that once it was the time when most of high profile and administrative personalities were produced from school. Many top politicians like MLAs, MPs, Ministers of state government, top bureaucrats for both in belt force and civil administration, top engineers, top doctors, top Professors even the top business men are the product of the Govt. Middle School (Boys) which is the matter of pride for Kathua people. They said that now a days the school has totally lost its identity of well furnished building and the well planned education providing system as there is no required infrastructure, planned toilets, sitting, classing, library and drinking of pure water facilities. They demanded that government should take steps to safe guard the lives of students as school building is at the verge of collapse. Large number of students is from poor families, so it should be taken into consideration to develop the school as a model school of present era. Improving education standard in government schools should be priority of the government as the students could not effort to join in private institutions. It is should be compulsory to all the government employees and all the MLAs, MPs to admit their wards in government schools and make a concrete and constructive education policy to protect the nation.
