People appealed not to misuse '101' facility

JAMMU, May 7: Fire and Emergency Services, Comm-and Jammu-Kathua has urged the people not to misuse toll free facility i.e. '101' as it may prove fatal to the subscriber himself.
As per the Deputy Director, Fire & Emergency Services, Command Jammu-Kathua, the Control Room of Fire & Emergency Services, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu as well as Srinagar are receiving numerous calls regularly during day and night hours from different subscribers of BSNL/Airtel, who make inquiries regarding activation of SIM cards, balance etc The misuse of "101" facility by the subscribers can prove fatal in the response time and even any hazard can turn into a great disaster. This misuse of "101" facility being Toll Free for general public, can prove fatal. The department has appealed to the people not to misuse the '101' facility and cooperate in performing social service to protect precious lives and property. Other telephone numbers of Fire & Emergency Service are 2435283 for Gandhi Nagar, 2544263 for City Station and 2457705 for Gandhi Nagar.
