5/7/2010 11:55:34 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 7: State Unit of Shri Ram Sena (SRS) has expressed its resentments against the government for charging the security fee from the parties who are coming from outside state to provide free 'langar' during holy Amarnath Yatra. Addressing media persons, president SRS Rajiv Mahajan said that state administration has announced a charge of Rs 25000 (non-refundable) from parties who are coming from outside the state, for providing free 'langar' to the pilgrims going to the holy place of Shri Amarnath at various places enroute yatra. He said that the government should exempt the security fee of Rs 25000 to those who want to distribute free ration and food to the piligrims during the piligrimage of Shri Amarnath. He also demanded exemption in toll taxes at Lakhanpur, who are carrying the food grains for preparing food to distribute free langar to the piligrims in the state. Mahajan criticized the JKTDC for allowing to run a cafeteria inside the Bhagwati Nagar Sarai meant for the piligrims of Shri Amarnath.
