| Cop injured in mistaken identity case | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 8: In an error of judgement, a police party mistook some cops for militants at Gandoh in Doda last night and opened fire, injuring a selection grade cop (SGC).
Police sources said the two police parties were conducting searches at Gandhoh when the incident took place.
The two sides realised their mistake only after few rounds had been
fired, the sources added. SGC Abdul Rashid Khandey was seriously injured in the incident. He was undergoing treatment at the Doda district hospital.
