| Minor student crushed to death | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 8: An 8th class student was today crushed to death near Akalpur, a village on the city outskirts.
Kamalpreet Singh (14) of Marh Bagh, Akalpur, died on the spot after a tractor trolley hit him while he was hanging on the gate of his overcrowded schoolbus.
He studied in 8th class in Vimal Vidhya High School, Akalpur. Police said though after the incident, he was evacuated to the GMC Hospital, he was declared brought dead by the doctors. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites.
Police had registered a case in this connection. Police said the tractor had been seized and its driver arrested.
