| Four teachers suspended in Mendhar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 8: Four government teachers, including three women, were suspended at Mendhar in Poonch today for dereliction of duties. Official sources said during a surprise checking in KGBV school, sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), Mendhar, Choudhary Mukhtar found our teachers unauthorisedly absent from duties. They included Himata Sharma, Achala Sudan, Shweta Devi and Punu Sharma. The SDM ordered their immediate suspension. Sources said when Mukhtar checked the store of mid-day meal ration, he found it empty. When inquiries revealed that the ration was dumped in the house of school incharge Maqsooda Bi, the SDM raided her house and found the ration there. Sources said an inquiry had been ordered to find out why the school incharge had dumped the ration in her house when the space was available in school.
