| HM ultras gunned down in Reasi, Cop suffered injuries | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8: Police and Security forces achieved a major success by eliminating two top dreaded terrorists of Hizbul -Mujahideen outfit while a cop was injured in a fierce gun battle in the mountainous district of Reasi today.
Reports revealed that Reasi Police developed hard intelligence about the movement of terrorists in hideout at Nandora under the jurisdiction of Police Station Mahore in the wee hours of today. Police launched a search operation in the area in association with 59 RR. The suspected area was cordoned off and during the search operation the contact was established with the hiding ultras and were asked to surrender . Instead of surrender they opened indiscriminate firing and lobbed grenades towards the troops thereby trigging a fierce encounter. The gun battle continued for several hours resulting in to the death of two dreaded terrorist's. In the gun battle one Police Cop namely Kaka Ram of district Reasi suffered bullet injuries who was evacuated from the encounter site and airlifted to GMC Jammu. The identification of the slain terrorists is being yet to be ascertained.
The killing of these terrorists is a great success to the Police forces as it will give a severe blow to the outfit in the area.
The whole operation was carried out jointly by the Police and Army.
