| 6 booked under Gambling Act | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May, 08: In a gambling raid, Kishtwar Police today arrested five gamblers while Rs. 20, 600/- were recovered from gambling table on spot. Reports revealed that on specific information Police Party of PS Kishtwar conducted a raid near Link Road behind Kendriya Vidyalya Kishtwar . During raid six gamblers were apprehended with cards and gambling money were also recovered from the spot. The accused have been identified as Bashir Ahmed s/o Badderud-Din , Mohd Abbas s/o Rustam Ganie Liyaqat Ali s/o Abdul Rashid , Javed Hussain s/o Gh.Hussain, Nazir Ahmed s/o Gh.Rasool all residents of Kishtwar and Devidass s/o Late Shanker Dass r/o Dachhan. However, one gambler namely Devidass fled away from the spot after jumping into the natural slope . A case has been registered U/S 13 Gambling Act at PS Kishtwar .
