DIALOGUE WITH PAK ON KASHMIR IS UNJUSTIFIED & FUTILE EXERCISE
5/8/2010 11:09:52 PM
KUNDAN KASHMIRI
Resumption of foreign ministers level Indo-Pak dialogue was really a surprise and shock for nationalist forces of India, when nothing has changed between India – Pakistan story. Despite of flexible policies and attitude adopted by Indian leaders to deal with all issues with its neighbouring country, Pakistan continued to be rigid, unrealistic and selfish. The rulers run the polity of Pak never wished to behave as a good neighbourer and continued to bleed India by its Indian centric terrorist policies. It continued to keep its terror option open, while demanding engagement with India. At every stage Pak tries to play show stopper and demonstrated hypocratic attitude. After Mumbai carnage Pak rulers said that they have had several Mumbai carnage in their country. To push ahead the peace proposals between the two neighbouring countries by Indian leaders, Pakistan refused to take discernible steps on the Mumbai and other accused. The infiltration was on the rise again. Terror groups supported by ISI were openly targeting Indians and Indian interests in Afghanistan.
Pakistan is much distance away from the realization from the repercussions of its terrorist policies that too Indian Centric. It (Pakistan) is not only involved in terrorist activities in India, but also engaged in trapping high level officials and diplomats like Madhuri Gupta to extract the information related to security strategy and other interests of Indian nation with the ultimate goal to disintegrate India.
Demonstrating its cunning attitude Pak at one hand keeping Indian leaders busy and engaged in the name of dialogue, at the other hand it is augmenting and upgrading its offensive potential on the border with India. It is reportedly preparing three airstrips in sindh, from where it can launch spy drones is to Indian territory as these air-strips could be ideal launch pads for spy drones. They intrude in to Indian airspace, take pictures of vital installations. Reportedly, there were five detected instances of Pak drones in entering Indian air-space, ostensibly to snoop over Indian defense installations close to the border. Although air-space agreement of the year 1991 held between India and Pakistan stipulates that fighters, aircrafts and armed helicopters will not fly closer than Ten Km of one’s border. There seems to be all possibility that Pakistan and China may be upgrading their Military logistics on their respective borders with India, in tandem with each other. Under these circumstances India must get very much alert, vigilant and cautious with such developments and cunning strategies & policies of Pakistan. India needs to develop more textured policies towards Pakistan. It must now avoid to be flexible and not succumb under the pressure of Pro-Pak and Pro-Azadi elements and lobbyists in state of J&K as well as of Delhi. India should also avoid to reel under the Pak-Sponsored terrorism and find out a way to engage the neighbouring country Pakistan in such a manner that increases the costs of its terror tactics.
At the same time mighty India must also not trust and rely upon others (read USA)., who have double standard policies and strategies. It is evident with the situation that Pakistan has no external pressure to act against Indian centric terrorism and its masters and operators like saeed and his organization LET. No doubt US President Barak Obhama asked Pakistan to go after terror groups like LET and others, but it lacked force and thrust, but it (USA) persuaded rigorously India to resume dialogue with Pakistan, while keeping Pak interests in view.
The meaningful dialogue has wider repercussions which seems to be not possible neither for the movement nor in future, till this dialogue is Kashmir Centric which is not in the interest of Indian nation. However, talks with all sections of the people of the J&K state including Kashmiri Pandits, the basic party of Kashmir issue, who demand for Kashyap Homeland Jammuities demanding separate statehood and Ladak demanding union territory status under the ambit of Indian constitution could prove helpful to find out the viable solution of the vexed problem of Kashmir created by Pakistan and its against in Kashmir.
It would be advisable to take nation in confidence and thoroughly analyze the effects and repercussions of the dialogue. At the same time must protect the interest and existence of the most effected community of Kashmiri Pandits which is scattered & virtually on cross road. Pre-dialogue exercises and impressions are negative and demoralizing one, which government must take care of so that post dialogue effects and repercussions would not prove harmful to the interests and integrity of the nation.
