| JJSF demands ban on private tuitions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 9: Alleging that several government teachers have indulged in private coaching and tuitions thereby spoiling the careers of large number of students enrolled in government institutions, Jammu Joint Students' Federation (JJSF) has demanded ban on the practice.
Addressing media persons here today, state vice president JJSF M Partap Singh Jamwal said that the government teachers don't pay serious attention towards students while giving lectures during school hours.
He alleged that some of the teachers are also indulged in the malpractice of threatening the students that if they don't take tuitions classes from them then they will fail them in their internal exams.
Jamwal said that several government teachers, Lecturers, Professors are giving private tuitions classes thus dishonoring the order of Court.
He informed that on August 11 2005, Court issued a notice according to which any government teacher can not gave private coaching or tuitions.
Partap questioned Why the government is not implementing this order of Court in letter and spirit.
Jamwal warned the concerned authorities to honor the order of Court and implement this order within a week otherwise JJSF will gherao ZEOs, CEOs, Director of School Education and Tution centres being run by government teachers.
