| Bal Ashram inmates visits Air Force Station | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 9: In an effort to motivate the orphan children from Jammu region, Air Force Station Jammu along with Social Welfare Department of J&K Govt organised a daylong tour for 35 boys from Bal Ashram RS Pura to Air Force Station Jammu today. The tour is aimed at providing exposure to the children about various developments taking place in life and to show them activities of air force life. The exposure is unique for the young impressionable minds as they moved out of their environment for the first time, said the Chief Administrative Officer, Wg Cdr RK Misra of Air Force Station Jammu. Tour participants along with their mentor Mohit Bharti were extremely enthusiastic and excited about the tour. During the visit to various places inside Air Force camp, the tour members were shown various helicopters, aircrafts, aero modeling, swimming pool, museum, ecological park etc. Transportation including breakfast and lunch were also organized for the children at the camp.The tour provided valuable exposure to the under privileged children about rich cultural heritage and the progress the country has made besides broadening their horizons said Station Commander Group Capt Ghar Singh. The tour also left an indelible impression in children's mind in form of making new friends at the places of visit. The enthusiasm and glow on their faces on return was a reflection of a new tomorrow.
