| SWF Doda holds free eye check-up camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, May 9: Social Workers Forum (SWF) Doda has organised a 3-day long free eye check-up camp on the eve of International Red Cross Day. The camp, which began today has been conducted in the memory of SWF founder Abdul Latief Ganai and Zaffarullah Butt, was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr Shahid Mughal along with Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Bashir Ahmed Butt at District Hospital Doda.
In the camp people of Doda as well as adjoining areas participated and took benefit of the camp. In the camp near about 3000 patients having different eye related diseases were examined by the team of doctors including Dr Vinod Gupta Eye Specialist District Hospital Doda and Dr Deepak Kapoor of Jammu.
Out of 3000 patients, 60 patients were operated.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman SWF Raja Anayatullah Khan said that camp was held to provide the poor and needy section of the society free and better treatment. Medical Author-ities including Medical Superintendent Distt Hosp-ital Doda Dr Farid Ahmed Butt extended their active support to SWF Doda for making this camp a success. Medical Employees Feder-ation District President Mehboob Hassan Kria-ak, Doda Civil Society Con-venor Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev & DSWO President Faizan Ali Tramboo has appealed the state government to extend financial support to this NGO.
