| NC workers hold meet at Akhnoor | | | Early Times report
Akhnoor, May 9: Vari-ous issues pertaining to farmers were discussed at a day long conference of National conference (NC) workers here today. Addres-sing the workers Rattan lal Gupta provisional president NC said that present government headed of Omar Abdullah is committed to address the problems of farmers of the state and in this connection measures have been made to provide seed and fertilizers to the farmers well in time. He said due care has been taken to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers in border and rural areas and historic kissan welfare Advisory Board has been constituted in the state to help the farmers community. And added Govt. has also provided employment to educated youth in a record period of 15 months despite so many problems. He asked the workers to work in their respective areas to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister and the National conference the convention was also addressed by Sheikh Bashir Ahmed , the Kashmir Singh, Lakhotra, Krishan Lal Sharma, Sukhdev and Om Parkash Sharma.
