| Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's birthday on May 13 | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 9: Art of Living Jammu Chapter is organising Sri Sri Week to celebrate Birthday of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a renowned spiritual Guru and multi-faceted humanitarian, which falls on 13th of this month. Art of Living fraternity in Jammu is organising several programmes, in tune with the organisation's ideology of Sadhna, Seva and Satsang, to celebrate the Fifty Fourth birthday of the revered Guru. The highlight of the week long celebrations will be an evening of divine music and satsang by Shalini and Srinivas, a renowned husband-wife artist duo, at Abhinav Theatre on 13th May. The couple, who have specially flown from Bangalore for the occasion, have several devotional music albums to their credit and are associated with Art of Living since more than 14 years. A bhajan sandhaya by the renowned duo is also being organised in the precincts of the heritage Mubarak Mandi complex in the evening of 10th May. Besides the Art of Living followers, the event is expected to be attended a large number of people of the old city area. Besides, the singers would also be performing a series of Bhajan Sandhayas at Miran Sahib (14th May), Kunjwani (16th May) and Kathua (15th May) to spread the Sri Sri Ravi Shankerji's message of divinity and humanity across the entire Jammu province. Several seva projects have also been planned during the week for the benefit of various sections of the society. In this endeavour, Dr Pitanjalai Mishra, a renowned ayurvedic doctor and head of R&D division of Sri Sri Ayurveda, will be arriving from Bangalore especially for the celebrations. Dr Mishra is a specialist in naadi prakishan or pulse diagnosis, an ancient Ayurvedic technique of diagnosis through the pulse, which accurately diagnoses both physical and mental diseases. Dr Mishra will be rendering consultation in Kathua on 11th and Jammu on 12th and 13th May. An ayurvedic medical consultation camp will be also organised by Panchkarma on 13th May afternoon at Abhinav Theatre, registration for which can also be done at the phone numbers mentioned above. A medical camp is also being organised at Chaitanya Ashram, Bohri, Jammu, on Sunday, 16th May, where in a panel of renowned doctors will provide free consultancy on cancer, eye, chest and gynecological disorders. A free sugar detection camp will also be held at the venue. Art of Living Chapter also extended an invitation to all sections of society to join the Art of Living fraternity of Jammu in the celebrations.
