| J&K people should shun Pak option: Mufti Ayoub | | India better place for Muslims' | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, May 9 : Terming India as better place for Muslims than Pakistan, a rewnowed Islamic scholar of India and head of Jamia Nayamia Muradabad Utter Pradesh, Mufti Mohammad Ayoub has said that the people of Kashmir should leave the idea of Kashmir's accession with Pakistan. He however said that the people of Kashmir are struggling for their right as they are living in democratic country and they are not doing sin by rasing "freedom" slogans. Talking to Early Times at Rajouri, Mufti Mohammad Ayoub, who is here to attend one day Muslim Conference organized by Jamia Razvia Ashrafia in Rajouri said "India is better place for Muslims than Pakistan so Kashmiris should avoid raising the slogans of Pakistan". He however supported the cause of Kashmiris terming it their right. "The freedom struggle in Kashmir is not a bad struggle. They are demanding their right". He added that Pakistan is not able to satisfy their own people and there is no future of Kashmiris in Pakistan. "They must think. If India will give them some relaxations and autonomy, they should opt India than Pakistan", he added. Making an appeal to the Indian Muslims to constitute a political party of its own, Mufti said that the future of Indian Muslim is bleak as there is no political party to lead them in the country. "Though Congress is showing interests in Muslims, we have to unite and form our own political party to govern India", he said. On the need of modern education in Madarsas, Mufti said that Indian Muslim should not run away from technology and nobody is against it. "We have decided to start science, technology and computer education in Madarsas and we have already initiated various projects in Utter Pradesh", he added. Meanwhile while addressing a mammoth gathering, Member Parliament of UP Dr Shafiq Barq has said that India must reserve seats in Parliament and state assemblies for Muslims in order to boost them in future. He made a call to all political parties and Muslim scholars of India to support this cause. Asserting that the roles of Muslim were vital in India independence, he said that the Muslim leaders who laid down their lives are not being mentioned in India. He said that those Muslim leaders who have laid down their lives for this country should be remembered in India.
