| Monthly Series of NZ Sport Climbing meet on May 23 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 10: Second round of Monthly Series of North Zone Sport Climbing Competitions shall be conducted by Mountaineering Association of J&K at Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in Sprawling Buds School, Chinore here on May 23. "About 100 climbers including 30 from other states are expected to compete in the competition", informed Ram Khajuria under whose guidance the series is being conducted by the North Zone Sport Climbing Committee, New Delhi. In this day-long event, the competition shall be held in Lead Climbing only in four categories of junior and sub junior boys and girls, he added. The purpose of the monthly series of competitions, scheduled to be organised in various states of the North Zone on rotational basis, is to provide necessary practice, competition and exposure to the budding sport climbers of each state. Accordingly, zonal and national medalists as also those senior climbers are not eligible for the competition. Climbers who are interested to participate in the competition may register their names at the office of Tawi Trekkers at 75-76, Sarwal Colony, Jammu, between 6 pm and 8 pm on any day before May 18 or contact Ram Khajuria on Mobile No: 094191-96378. The participation fee for the competition is Rs100 which includes lunch and refreshment also, a separate handout issued here today informed.
