| Karan Singh reviews renovation works on Mubarak Mandi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 10: Member Parliament, Dr. Karan Singh, today visited the prestigious Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and reviewed the pace of renovation works on the existing Royal Palace. Singh expressed gratitude to the Centre and State Governments for initiating steps to renovate the Royal Palace complex which when completed shall accelerate the tourism industry in the city of temples. He went around various parts of the complex and minutely inspected the ongoing renovation works. Dr. Karan Singh paid obeisance at his ancestral Shrine/ Devsthan inside the Mubarak Mandi complex. He appreciated the construction work on the erstwhile Army headquarters and foreign offices and also visited Tosha Khana, Maharani Charak Mahal, Naya Mahal and Gole Ghar buildings. Dr. Singh desired that the original pristine glory of Royal Heritage Complex should be restored with its re-use plan for the visiting tourists in Jammu as well. He also visited Raghunathji Mandir and inspected the works on wall cladding and landscaping for its beautification. Director Tourism, Sawhney apprised the Member Parliament of the works being undertaken to renovate the prestigious heritage complex. Divisional Commis-sioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Chairman, Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society, Gulchain Singh Charak, President Dharmarth Trust, Kr. Diwakar Singh and former Minister Ajat Shatru Singh accompanied Dr. Karan Singh.
