| CM visits photo exhibition organized in memory of Sodhi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 11: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today visited a Photo Exhibition organized by Print Media Association, in memory of Photo Journalist, Ashok Sodhi on his second death anniversary.
He was accompanied by Minister of Medical and Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports R.S. Chib, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal, DIG Jammu Kathua Range Farooq Khan, IG Jammu Ashok Gupta and other senior officers of police and civil administration. Journalist and people from all walks of life also paid their tributes to Sodhi
This two-day-exhibition has been organized to pay tributes to Ashok Sodhi, senior photojournalist who attained martyrdom while performing his duties an encounter at Samba on May 11, 2008.
About 136 photographs by local and national photo journalists were put on display during the exhibition. Omar Abdullah appreciated the moments captured by the lens men and lauded the role of media fraternity.
