Phunsog, and Financial Commissioner Coordination, Mr Ajit Kumar. Official sources said that senior bureaucrats of IAS cadre, who are in the JK Cadre have been roped in to submit their views on ways the Government should adopt for promoting good governance. It may be mentioned that Chief Secretary and Financial commissioner Coordination have decided to base their report on the ideas they receive from the bureaucrats who, over the years, have had long experience in dealing with varied affairs pertaining to the state administration. Most of these officers are non-state subjects but as member of the JK cadre they have better grip on different aspects of governance. Chief Minister is said to be keen to make a mark in the state’s history by promoting good governance so that people could benefit from a transparent, corrupt free rule which would end the bane of red tape. Since Mr Azad has reposed trust in the talent of Mr C.Phunsog and Mr Ajit Kumar he has assigned them the task of preparing a report which would highlight ways and means the Government needed to adopt for ensuring good governance. Sources said that already senior bureaucrats have started applying their mind to the work that had been entrusted to them and they may submit their recommendations to Mr Kumar and Mr Phunsog within a month or so. The Kumar-Phunsog report, that would be submitted to the Chief Minister, was expected to be discussed by the cabinet before the recommendations enlisted in the report would be implemented. |
